Sony a6700 - Best Hybrid Camera of 2023?

I’m going to just cut right to the chase...

If you are looking for a top-of-the-market APS-C crop sensor camera from Sony, look no further than the Sony Alpha a6700. I purchased this camera shortly after release kitted with the 18-135mm lens instead of the 16-55mm, mostly due to availability (you couldn’t find these things ANYWHERE). Initially I was a little apprehensive about going for the more expensive lens, but after bringing it home and playing with it, I am extremely happy I went with this lens. First of all, you aren’t missing much on the low end (from 18mm to 16mm), but you are gaining SO MUCH on the upper end, going from 55mm all the way to 135mm.

This lens is just so much more flexible and provides you the opportunity to keep 1 lens for longer.

Sure, if you already have a full set of lenses, then you can always just save a little money and get the body only – but if you are like me and this is your first camera on the Sony platform, then do yourself a favor and get the 18-135mm kit.
